Dr. Brown graduated from WilfridLaurier University, Waterloo, ON with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Psychology, 1992. She earned a numberof distinctionsincluding; Alumni Gold Medal, Psychology (1992); President’s Incentive Scholarship (1989-1992); Henry H. Reichhold Scholarship (1990-1992); and the NSERC Summer Student Research Award (1990 & 1992). In 1995, Dr. Brown graduated with her Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University, Hamilton, ON. She continued her academic pursuits in Family Medicine while attending the University of Toronto, North York General Hospital, Toronto,ON, to completeher Family Medicine Residency (2000).
Dr. Brown is an experienced physician, with extensive knowledgein primary care and mental healthcare. She is a Certified Clinical Expert in Catastrophic Impairment Evaluations, Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, (CSME) and the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA).
Her role as Medical Director with DMARehability will include the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders with both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy; supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural and solution-focused strategies, medical/legal Assessments, as well as assessments to determine Catastrophic Impairment (OCF 19)
