About
Samantha earned her Master of Science, Occupational Therapy, from Western University, London, ON after completing her Bachelor of Science, Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI. She also holds a Diploma in Recreation Therapy from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. Samantha has experience in providing Occupational Therapy Assessments and Treatment for individuals involved in motor vehicle accidents, along with individuals on long term disability, WSIB and privately funded clients. She also has experience conducting assessments for environmental modifications within the home, attendant care assessments, rehab needs assessments, worksite and ergonomic assessments, recommendations for assistive devices and other rehab services that meet the needs of her clients.
Samantha’s past experience working as a Personal Support Worker has added to her skill set in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, in retirement homes and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder by providing supports for personal hygiene, activities of daily living, swimming, arts programs, music programs, academic programs, community integration, maintaining academic abilities, cognition and fine motor skills through providing leisure and recreation.
Samantha is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
